Lisa LaCount, Owner & Web Designer  Lisa is a native of England who has lived in Belgium and Germany before moving to the United States.

After the birth of their twins in 1997, Lisa was looking for a rewarding "at-home" occupation, and so the idea for the National Directory of Active Adult Communities (the web site) was born.

Lisa has worked diligently since then to source information on every active lifestyle and age-restricted community within the United States, and has compiled what is now the most concise resource available on the internet . . . and growing!  Email lisa@activeadultliving.com.


Stephan LaCount, Owner & National Sales Director  Stephan was born in Massachusetts and moved with his family to Phoenix when he was just 6 months old.  Stephan's family owned and operated flower shops and he lived and worked alongside his parents and siblings from an early age.   Thus, his entrepreneurial  spirit evolved. 

Stephan enjoyed over 6 years working in the "active adult" market including Del Webb's Sun City Grand.  It was during this time that he  recognized the a need for a concise reference source for people actively seeking information on active adult communities.  Email stephan@activeadultliving.com.
 

Cristina Kamla is an Independent Sales Contractor  Christina resides with her family in West Milford, New Jersey and works from her home office.  Cristina has 11 years marketing & sales experience working with seniors in various capacities from marketing assisted living communities, a home health care agency, and a sub-acute care program to opening & managing an Independent Senior Community called The Arbors located in White Bear Lake, MN. 

Cristina graduated from the University of MN with a “designed” bachelor degree in Public Health, Mass Communications and Sociology and has geared her degree toward marketing in senior health care.  Cristina also has a passion in other areas of health care, after graduating from college, she attended the Colorado School of Healing Arts to become a certified Massage Therapist. 

Cristina and her husband, who are Minnesota natives, currently live in New Jersey with their 2 young boys.  Her personal hobbies and interests include cooking, gardening, alternative medicine, reading, photography, yoga, running, swimming & music.  Email Cristina at ckamla@optonline.net.
Claudia Pope-Higgins, Independent Sales Contractor  First I would like to thank you for doing business with me.  I am a Realtor presently licensed in Arizona and have been licensed in Tennessee and in North Carolina where I started in real estate selling large acreage to people all over the U.S.  This was before MLS - dating myself aren't I? 

I have since owned several businesses so most of all, I know the importance of advertisement and getting your name in front of the public. Without advertising you have a business, with advertising you have a "great" business.

I am presently retired working part time at my home office, but I am full time if you need my help.  I have 2 children and 7 grandchildren - don't get to see them enough.

Diedre (Dee) Chandler, Active Living News Editor   Diedre (Dee) J. Chandler was raised in Kansas.  She graduated from Wichita State with a B.A. in Journalism/Advertising/Marketing.  Her first job out of college was the Managing Editor of The National Oil and Lube News.  (Bet you all remember that fondly!)  That led her running to the University of  Kansas School of Law which led to a private law practice for several years.  That experience sent her screaming right back to journalism where she has now become our e-newsletter editor, which she is quite thrilled about.

In between those experiences she has traveled to many countries and recently lived in New Zealand.  She enjoys hearing from her readers and encourages all of you to write her at dee@activeadultliving.com.
